VGuardian is a mobile application developed by Valcom for emergency alert and panic button management. This policy describes how the application collects, uses, and protects your information.
The app uses your device camera solely for scanning QR codes to associate wireless panic button devices. No photos or videos are captured, stored, or transmitted.
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to scan for and identify nearby beacon devices. Bluetooth data is used only for device discovery and registration within your organization's system.
Location access is used to set GPS coordinates when registering beacon devices and is required by the Android operating system for BLE scanning. Location data is only transmitted to your organization's server when you explicitly choose to save coordinates.
Login credentials are stored locally on your device using secure storage. The app communicates with your organization's district server over HTTPS. No personal data is shared with third parties.
VGuardian does not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties. All data is transmitted only to your organization's managed server infrastructure.
